The Vision

The standard of generation, research and publication of ideas in social sciences and strategic studies is an important indicator of the intellectual health of a society. Multidisciplinary approach in these disciplines assists in creating a knowledge driven society.

The Mission

Electronic Journal of Social and Strategic Studies (EJSSS) is a platform for scholarly publishing in Social Sciences and Strategic Studies, bringing multidisciplinary research to the public domain. 

About the Journal & Subjects of Interest

Electronic Journal of Social and Strategic Studies (EJSSS) is an international journal comprising of esteemed academicians from Ghana, Georgia and India on its editorial board. Our contributing authors are from across the world including the USA, Austria, Greece, Australia, Ghana, Nigeria and India (as of now).

It is a privately owned and published journal for social sciences. We publish refereed, blind peer reviewed research content in all subjects in social sciences. We are an Open Access journal following the guidelines for making our publications freely accessible to the public. Our specific Open Access Policy is stated in Publication, Ethics and Malpractice page.

EJSSS accepts original research papers/articles, book reviews, and case studies for publication in the public domain. The journal specifically encourages inter/multidisciplinary approaches that represent important advances in these fields, contributing to expanding knowledge horizons. Specific areas of interest for the journal are:

  • Defense and Strategic Studies
  • Economics
  • Environmental Studies, specifically pertaining to Climate Change and sustainability studies
  • Geography, specifically Human Geography
  • History, including Military History
  • Human Rights, specifically law, concepts and practice
  • International Humanitarian Law, concepts and practice
  • International Relations
  • Political Science, including Political Economy & Political Sociology
  • Psychology, specially Criminal Psychology & Clinical Psychology
  • Public Administration, specially Governance & Local Governance
  • Social Work
  • Sociology, specially Gender Studies & Migration
  • Book Reviews and Case Studies in relevant disciplines 

Periodicity of Publication

EJSSS publishes regular Issues tri-annually, i.e., once in four months, August-September, December-January, and April-May. Every calendar year shall carry a Volume Number commencing from Volume I in 2020. Therefore, there will be One Volume and Three Issues every calendar year. All issues will be paginated serially for the whole year.

We also publish Special Issues containing the proceedings of conferences/seminars/webinars hosted or co-hosted by EJSSS and Praghna Centre for Research. Further, we do publish thematic Special Issues as per the recommendations of our editorial board. When published they carry the Volume Number for the calendar year annotated as Special Issue bearing a sequential number.

Special Issues may be considered based on the recommendations of the Editorial Board for conferences, seminars or workshops conducted at educational/research institutions, when specifically requested by such institutions. Dissemination of Publication to Authors

Once a paper has been accepted after editorial review and blind peer review, and accepted for publication, the Author shall be informed by email of the decision to publish. The complete pdf version of the published manuscript bearing relevant details (the DOI, Vol No, Issue No, and publication date) shall be mailed to the author, within a week after date of publication. No print version shall be made available.

The author will also receive a Certificate of Publication.

Advertisements

EJSSS aims to promote scholarly writing. Advertisements for revenue are therefore not in the interest of this journal. However, the Editorial Board, with the consent of Editor-in-Chief, may consider publishing suitable notices or columns specifically concerning events of scholarly interest (for example, Academic Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, Call for Papers by other journals, Faculty Recruitment, etc) that are upto 50-75 words in length. For queries in this regard, please email the Managing Editor at submission.ejss@gmail.com. Please note that we cannot host images, photos, etc. 

Special Provision for Masters/M Phil/PhD Scholars

We understand that student scholars may sometimes be pressed for time to submit publication information to appropriate scholastic agencies prior to actual publication in EJSSS. In such instances, they may request the Managing Editor to issue a formal letter of acceptance for publication, subject to having received the confirmation regarding the suitability of their publication prior to making such request. We shall endeavor to issue the letter electronically and will email it to the institution also, if desired.
