Every day we are facing updated issues in the field of international relations and international politics which become significant topics for academic debates and theories in social sciences. ‘International Relations Today: Concepts and Applications’ is a textbook useful for students, teachers and researchers. Overall, basic issues are discussed in this book; nature of the IR from preliminary to up to now, concepts and theories in international relations, and role of state and non-state actors in IR. The foreign policies of major powers to the end of cold war have been explored. Furthermore, recent issues in international relations which are the most remarkable in twenty first century have been focused on briefly. For instance, globalization, environment, energy and terrorism are key topics in today’s international order where nation-states are working together to find solutions to the problems and challenges in order to expand economic cooperation and create a peaceful atmosphere throughout the world collectively.
